The table extractor is optimised for financial documents: invoice line item tables, bank transaction tables, and expense summaries. It understands column headers, data types, and numeric formatting.
How table detection works
ParseFlow AI uses a table-first extraction strategy. When processing a PDF, it first identifies all table structures by looking for column separators, consistent row spacing, and header rows. Each detected table is extracted independently, preserving column relationships and data types.
Numeric columns are identified and formatted correctly — amounts retain decimal places, dates are normalised to ISO format, and negative values (debits) are preserved.
